Island Sailing Adventures was founded in 2005 by Charlie Wood on the idea that sailing is and should be a universal activity, with everyone having the opportunity to learn to sail, regardless of experience. Most importantly, we want to see more people learning and enjoying sailing with their families. We want our friends to become sailors for a lifetime and we are here to help make that possible.

Our classes are formulated to get you sailing on your own more quickly, with a strong set of skills that you can rely upon in your future sailing endeavors.

While specializing in teaching sailing with a focus on seamanship, teamwork, and offshore cruising and racing skills, ISA also offers trust-building and corporate events, as well as specialty charters such as marine wildlife observation, photography trips and surfing sessions.

We also offer yacht delivery services, racing crew and yacht maintenance services, as well.

We have sailing courses locally, and we conduct educational and vacation charters in the Hawaiian, Caribbean and San Juan Islands. On those charters, we focus on specific learning goals, if desired. We encourage our adventurers to customize their experience, so all of these charters are meant to be molded around your specific needs and desires. By offering general itineraries that can be modified to accommodate time and interest, we feel that we have transcended the traditional and we let YOU, our valued customer, decide where to go and what the schedule should be.
